Gain the skills and confidence to save a life
The Basic Life Support qualification will give learners the skills and knowledge to act in an emergency situation providing the casualty with critical life saving assistance until support arrives. The qualification is delivered following the protocols set by the Resuscitation Council (UK) Guidelines.
The course is a minimum of 3 contact hours in the classroom, consisting of practical and theoretical activities.
Assess the situation and circumstances in order to act safely, promptly and effectively in an emergency
Provide first aid to a casualty who is unconscious (including recovery position)
Provide CPR cardiopulmonary resuscitation
Provide CPR with use of AED
